I have earned my Assosciates Degree from Rend Lake College in Early Childhood Education and I am continuing towards my Bachelors Degree. Since I was little I have enjoyed working with kids. I have younger twin brothers. My family and I attend church and my first experience caring for children was in the church nursery. I've helped my dad coach Upwards sports and babysat throughout high school. While earning my Assosciates I had the opportunity to work at the Rend Lake Children's center and Hamilton County Preschool.

Hi! My name is Jade and one of my favorite things to do is be around children. I am currently a babysitter at the Workout Company as well as working the front desk at Little Jewels. I was a cheerleader all four years of high school and also played soccer.

Hello! I am Rebecca. I am studying Early Childhood Ecuation at ISU, so I am so excited to be working with your kids everyday! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love kids and am passionate about teaching. I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hello! My name is Maggie, I am from Chicago but have moved down here to Bloomington Normal to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education at Illinois State University. I absolutely love working with kids and helping others. I spend most of my time babysitting, playing tennis, or being with my family. I am so happy to be apart of the Little Jewels family!

I have always enjoyed being around kids. I have 9 nieces and nephews. I am currently attending Heartland Community College. My favorite things to do are golf and spending time with family. I absolutely love working at Little Jewels and look forward to coming in every day!

My name is Dawn Leman. I graduated from Bradley University with an education degree and moved to Bloomington/Normal in 1994. I've been married 24 years to my husband Darin. We have four children: David-23, Drew-21, Rachel-19, and Becca-17. I was a stay-at-home mom to them for 13 years before I started substitute teaching for Unit 5 schools in 2006. I divide my time between Unit 5 and Little Jewels trying to make sure those classrooms are full of happy and healthy children that are ready to learn!

My name is Loreta. I am currently studying at Heartland Community College and plan to continue at ISU after. I come from a large family with 5 other siblings and I love working with kids, dancing, played basketball in high school and enjoy cooking in my free time.

I am a junior at ISU majoring in Special Ecuation (learning/ behavioral specialist) with an Early Childhood endorsement. I love working with children and helping others! I look forward to seeing the growth of my students and growing those relationships.

Hi I'm Domineque. I have been working with children for about 9 years now. I love my work and am currently earning a Bachelor's degree and would like to become an Elemntary school teacher.

I am a senior at ISU studying human develpment and family science. I hope to become a certified child life specialist. I am really passionate about working with children and aiding development and learning through play.


Bus Driver

Mr. Roy


Roy was born in Bloomington at St. Joe Hospital. He is a graduate from Bloomington High School and enjoyed working at Steven's Bakery and Merle Pharmacy while in high school. After high school he attended keyboarding school and some prgramming and accounting classes at ISU. He then oved on to work for Carbery & O'Roake for 13 years after graduating as their computer operator. In 1963 he married Sue and they have been married for 34 years. They have five children: Jan, Angie, Beth, Stephanie and Steven. Together they also have eight grandchildren. Roy worked for Calvary Baptist Church in Normal for 36 years before he retired. He is loving his current adventure as a bus driver for Little Jewels!
